About Me

I was born in Toronto, Canada, to Polish immigrants. I’m currently a PhD candidate in Mesopotamian archaeology at the department of Near and Middle Eastern Civilizations at the University of Toronto. I completed a Bachelor of Arts in Prehistoric Archaeology and Near and Middle Eastern Civilizations and a Master of Arts in Near Eastern archaeology also at the University of Toronto. My PhD research is based on a reinterpretation of the University of Chicago Oriental Institute excavations of the Early Dynastic and Akkadian periods at the site of Khafajah in the Diyala region, Iraq, supervised by Dr. Clemens Reichel. I have been involved in archaeological fieldwork in Jordan, Israel, and in Iraqi Kurdistan, and research projects at the Royal Ontario Museum in Toronto on ceramics from Godin Tepe, Iran, and from Nippur and Kish in Mesopotamia.
